Statement of Faith

The Word of God:  We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.  II Timothy 3:15:17

The Godhead:  We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ:  We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in his sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.  John 1:1-4; Matthew 1:23; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 & 4:15; Acts 1:11 & 2:22-24; I Corinthians 15:3-4.

The Total Depravity of Man:  We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. Genesis 1:26,27; Romans 3:22,23; 5:1,2; Ephesians 2:1-3,12

Salvation:  We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. Titus 3:4-7; Luke 24:46-47; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; Acts 4:12.

The Personality of Satan:  We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin and the cause of the fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire. Job 1:6,7; Isaiah 14:12-17; Matthew 4:2-11;25:41; Revelation 20:10; Ezekiel 28:12-19

Eternal Security: We believe that once saved, all the redeemed are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever. John 6:37-49;10:27-30; Romans 8:1,38,39; I Corinthians 1:4-8; I Peter 1:5; II Timothy 1:12

The Eternal State:  We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment. Revelation 20:11-15; I Corinthians 15:51-57.

Unity of Spirit:  We believe that the church is comprised of all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.  It is the body and Bride of Christ.  All believers have been baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ and therefore are members of one another.  Each is responsible to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  We believe for the sake of sharing the gospel, it is necessary to rise above sectarian prejudices and doctrinal separation in order to love one another with a pure heart.  Ephesians 1:22-23, 2: 19-22; 1 Corinthians 1:10-13; Romans 12:4,5; Ephesians 4: 3-6; 5:32; Philippians 2:1-5; Galatians 5:13-15

Missions:  We believe that it is the obligation of the saved to witness by life and by work to the truths of Holy Scripture and to obey our Lord’s commandment to make disciples as we proclaim the Gospel to all mankind.  II Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1,2;14:13; I John 2:15-17; II John 9,11; II Corinthians 6:14-7:1; Ephesians 5:7-11
